With supervision, the Electronics Bench Technician I troubleshoots and repairs or overhauls less complex aircraft instruments and avionics components to manufacturer specifications customer expectations, and Duncan approved procedures in a clean and safe work environment.  In addition, this position accurately prepares and completes appropriate documentation.

 

Essential Job Functions

  1. With supervision, troubleshoots and repairs or overhauls less complex avionics components and instruments, using the appropriate test equipment and technical publications, according to manufacturer specifications customer expectations, and Duncan approved procedures. Orders parts needed to complete the work.

 

  1. Prepares complete and timely documentation, including updating work order status, as required by Duncan approved procedures, manufacturers’ maintenance manuals and FAA regulations, with assistance as needed.   

 

  1. Prepares complete, accurate and timely information for creating repair estimates, with assistance as needed.

 

  1. Maintains and cleans test equipment and work area as required.

 

  1. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Attendance:                  Regularly scheduled attendance required

Physical:                      Routinely lifts 10 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.; identifies colors; tolerates standing and sitting; reads small print; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance

Environmental:            Tolerates working in a noisy environment

 

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent required
