Airframe Interior Assistant - 1342

The Airframe Interior Assistant, under immediate supervision, learns and becomes competent in assisting with the removal and reinstallation of aircraft interiors using appropriate tooling, per customer expectations and Duncan Aviation approved procedures in a safe and clean work environment. In addition, this position completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions

1. Under immediate supervision, follows verbal and written technical procedures in the removal and reinstallation of carpeting, insulation, soundproofing and fabric accessories in aircraft using appropriate hand tools. Protects interior components and puts them safely in designated storage areas.

2. With supervision, prepares various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, removal sheets, W.O. Sheets, personal training log).

3. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Specific Requirements

  • Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; Man Lift qualified; tool inventory per department tool list required
  • Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
  • Physical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. occasionally up to 100 lbs.; reads small print; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with interior installations; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
  • Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments

Education and Experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum six months related experience preferred
