Under supervision, the Price Item Technical Specialist I maintains and may develop quote and flat rate system price items by coordinating with sales and production teams to update and revise master price items as needed; provides on-going review of master price items for labor hours, parts and other services pricing accuracy; and evaluates work orders. In addition, this position performs other research and updates as requested by management.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Provides sales and production teams with current hours and parts pricing for the identified tasks. Updates expected hours based on research and input from sales and production departments’ leadership. Interfaces with sales and production teams and makes price item adjustments as requested.
  1. Researches and creates new price items (both quoted and flat rate) as directed by the sales and production teams for the creation of quotes, to include pricing and tasks for labor, materials and other services.
  1. Establishes and maintains relationships with various vendors and collects pricing changes to their products. Incorporates these updated price changes into all applicable price items.
  1. Attends meetings regarding computer systems changes and keeps appropriate department(s) updated.
  1. May assist production teams in quoting added work.
  1. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Business courses at a college level preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year previous aviation maintenance or modifications experience, working with various make/models of business jet aircraft and inspection criteria, or aviation related sales experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and other basic database management software
