The Expediter - Airframe orders, researches, tracks and records parts and components for the Airframe department in a safe and organized environment. This position expedites parts deliveries to aircraft projects to meet priorities; researches and resolves parts issues for the Airframe department and communicates status of parts; and Maintains, researches and assists the Airframe team members with aircraft systems components and parts.

Essential Job Functions

1. Organizes, monitors, tracks and follows-up on parts and components that are needed for airframe in-process and future work orders to ensure necessary parts are available when needed. Communicates with team leaders, Airframe and Material Services to determine parts are on order. Creates daily "hot" list and works with Material Services team to expedite parts and deliveries.

2. Coordinates with team leaders and project managers to close open Purchase Orders and Price & Availability Requests to expedite the billing process. Communicates and coordinates with Return Goods Administrator concerning parts accounting, control and return of parts, cores and materials for proper credit, tracking and billing to the aircraft project work orders.

3. Resolves parts issues by communicating with team leaders, Material Services and other internal and external customers to resolve parts issues. Recommends updates and revisions to enhance and streamline the inventory computer systems and user features. Trains team on inventory system usage and processes.

4. Works with the Airframe team members to develop service items for core aircraft inspections. Reviews miscellaneous parts usage and past airframe projects and recommends new stock items to Material Services for supplying stock items needed to complete Airframe department projects and meet peak demands.

5. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Specific Requirements

  • Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; Fork Lift Certification
  • Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
  • Physical: Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.; reads small print; identifies colors; repetitive motion; tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with component maintenance; tolerates working in confined spaces; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
  • Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and in noisy environments

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • One year Airframe Maintenance experience or a minimum two years parts or aviation-related experience required
  • Proficiency with various software systems, specifically Microsoft Software (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
