The Scheduler - Accessory works closely with the department management, assists customers and shop team members by responding to requests or inquiries regarding accessory and component services, status of customer units, invoicing and accounts, and component repair and overhaul services. This position has responsibility to foster and maintain working relationships with, department schedulers, project managers, sales, as well as production team members to promote collaboration and success with projects and customer relations. In addition, the scheduler leads by example and demonstrates a high level of commitment to customer service and satisfaction; accepts responsibility, demonstrates initiative, teamwork and attention to detail; presents a professional image through positive attitude, appearance, speech and manners; and displays leadership through modeling behaviors consistent with the company's mission, values and goals. This position proactively updates status of customer send-in units; generates, processes and bills prepared work orders; updates the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM); coordinates shipment of completed units and coordinates availability and shipping of loaner/rental units; performs various shipping and receiving functions; and completes accurate and timely documentation according to customer specifications and approved procedures

Essential Job Functions

  1. Works closely with department manager, team leaders, and crew leaders to ensure efficient day-to- day operations of the Provides direction to teams and coordinates work for these teams to meet customer requirements and the department’s financial and operational goals.
  1. Receives service plans, signed quotes and customer expectations for component projects. Monitors service plan accuracy for accessory department tasks, expected hours, outside services and parts and provides feedback and recommendations for improvements. Communicates customer and project requirements with the appropriate team members to maximize the utilization of the respective teams, facilities, and resources. Coordinates planning process with team leads, project managers and the
  1. Mediates scheduling conflicts and communicates customer and project requirements with the appropriate team members. Reports all scheduling turn-downs to department manager. Responds to customer inquiries regarding billing for services and authorizes appropriate action. Assists project managers on customer related issues.
  1. Represents the Accessory department at various scheduling, sales, pre-planning, debrief and WIP meetings. Develops, maintains and distributes project/team schedules and labor utilization
  1. Assists customers and production shops team by researching and responding to requests for availability and capability of in-house services. Schedules customer send ins and units being sent to LNK for repair/overhaul. Coordinates exchange and loaner/rental units. Assists with resolving warranty and customer satisfaction
  1. Manages aircraft and component work orders by reviewing trap runs and incoming aircraft, entering and updating information including verifying pricing, squawk details, parts, labor, outside services and discounts to ensure accurate work scope preparation. Coordinates with customers, project managers and shop team members to ensure optimal turn time and shipping dates for
  1. Coordinates teams in areas involving LNK capabilities, parts sourcing issues, billing and warranty issues. Ensures LNK shop schedule meets PVU Aircraft schedule needs. Receives units from teams, opens and monitors component work orders.
  1. Prepares teardown reports and item approvals, following technician evaluation units for repair or overhaul. Uses pricing database to determine price to be charged in accordance with established company guidelines, and provides quotes to the customer. Communicates notes to customer or project manager, responds to customer concerns and/or follows up with customer to verify approval and work completion
  1. Prepares work orders and bills road trips and send-in NDT work
  1. Makes decisions by defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions based on data from analysis, experience, familiarity with shop processes/procedures, and evaluates RTS path where applicable. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule
  1. Verifies customer open account status, credit line and loaner eligibility with appropriate team members. Schedules COD shipments and contacts customer for payment in advance of shipping unit(s), if designated, in accordance with company Credit department
  1. Performs other duties as assigned by management

  • Licenses/Certificates: N/A

  • Physical: Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and sitting; reads small print; proficiency with basic database management, occasionally up to 50 lbs.; reads small print; repetitive motion; tolerates products associated with component maintenance; proficiency with typing and data entry
  • Environmental: Tolerates working in a noisy environment

Education and Experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Business courses at a college level preferred
  • Customer service or aviation related service experience preferred
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills and MS Office Software (i.e. Office 365, Excel, Word, etc.)
